ABOUT THE TREATMENT
What is dental radiology?
Dental radiology uses X-ray images to see what isn't visible during a regular checkup: the inside of the teeth, the roots, the bone and the surrounding structures. It is the foundation of an accurate diagnosis and a well-planned treatment.
At Exigent Dental, you have access to complete dental radiology, with our own CBCT scanner right in the clinic. Imaging is done on site, during the same visit, and all X-rays are digital, with significantly less radiation than traditional film X-rays and images available instantly.
CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) provides a detailed 3D image of the teeth, bones and surrounding structures. It is essential for planning implants, complex extractions and precision treatments, providing information that a regular X-ray cannot show.

Types of dental imaging
Digital panoramic X-ray
It provides an overview of both arches, the jaw joints and the sinuses. It is the basic imaging test for a complete assessment of your dental health.
Periapical X-ray
A detailed image of one or a few teeth, used to diagnose cavities, check root canal treatments or identify problems at the root.
CBCT scan (3D)
A high-precision 3D image, essential for implants, complex extractions and detailed assessments. Available for a single tooth, half an arch, a full arch or both arches.
Other imaging
Bitewing X-rays, full mouth X-ray series, occlusal X-rays, and TMJ (jaw joint) or maxillary sinus X-rays, depending on what your diagnosis requires.
